WORLD HEART DAY
The Department of Practice of Medicine, Alva’s
Homoeopathic Medical College, organized a # DONT MISS A BEAT
program on the occasion of World Heart Day on

7 October 2025 at the AHMC Seminar Hall.
The event aimed to raise awareness about
cardiovascular health and the importance of
preventive measures to maintain a healthy
heart. The Chief Guest for the program was Dr.
B. Sadanand Naik, Consultant Physician at Dr. Prashanth Donkar, Head of the
Alva’s Health Centre, Moodbidri, who Department of Practice of Medicine,
addressed the gathering and shared valuable delivered a talk on “World Heart Day –
insights on heart health and lifestyle Importance and the Goal”, emphasizing
management. the significance of spreading awareness
and adopting healthy habits.
The event proved to be informative and
inspiring, encouraging everyone to prioritize
heart health and adopt preventive care
practices in daily life.
Dr. Manu Bhat, Head of the Department
of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology,
spoke on “Cardiac Illness and the Scope
of Homoeopathy”, highlighting the role of
homoeopathy in managing cardiac
disorders through a holistic approach.
